SUMMARY:KelpRes - the diversity and resilience of kelp ecosystems in Ireland
DESCRIPTION:KelpRes is an EPA funded project run by NUI Galway exploring the biology\, ecology and genetics of kelp (Laminaria hyperborea) in Ireland. \nThis talk by Dr Kathryn Schoenrock-Rossiter will explore some of the key findings of the project and how you can get involved in monitoring your local kelp ecosystem. It’s difficult to overstate how seminal this work has been in creating a baseline of data on kelp forest ecosystems in Ireland.
